Our well stocked village shop has all the everyday essentials you could need as well as a post office counter where you can withdraw money for free.
The friendly village pub is open Thursday-Sunday and has a good selection of drinks as well as crisps and nuts.
The nearby busy town of Bala offers pubs, restaurants, a great fish & chip shop and a variety of independent shops as well as fuel and a Co-op supermarket and Spar shop.
The lake and surrounding area offers great walks and water sports. The white water rafting is perfect for adrenaline seekers .
BETWS Y COED
A famous landmark in North Wales, Betws has a range of well known outdoor shops, independent restaurants, pubs and cafes and a Spar shop with a fantastic little bakery.
Swallow falls offers a range of walks for all abilities and is a tourist hotspot.
A 15 minute drive along the A5 takes you to Corwen where you can find a butcher, baker, cafe, fish and chips, kebab shop, Indian restaurant, homewares and gift shops as well as a Nisa shop. There is also a lovely independent restaurant 'Old Wives Tales' serving traditional Portuguese/Welsh food.
20 minutes away is the big local town of Rhuthun/Ruthin offering a large post office, Tesco store, petrol station, homewares and gift shops and a good selection of restaurants and pubs.
We can personally recommend On The Hill restaurant for a special evening meal in great atmosphere.
A busy tourist town with a great range of shops, restuarants and pubs. You can sit by the river and watch the traditional old steam train chug away from the old Victorian station.
The town had a good public car park which is pay and display and is bustling with visitors during the summer months.

Walking & Cycling
Whether it's a walk in the local woodland , a cycle around a lake, or a hike up Snowdon, you are in the right area for spectacular routes.
Bala lake, Llyn Brenig and Llangollen are just some of the places locally that you can try out white water rafting, canoeing or sailing.
Historic Market Towns
Llangollen, Ruthin, Chester and Barmouth boast many homewares and gift shops.
Barmouth, Abersoch, Rhyl, Porthdinllaen, Shell Island, Conwy Morfa and Llandudno to name just a few. North Wales has a beach for everyone. We would be happy to let you know about dog friendly beaches as we've tried out quite a few with our own dogs.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is around a 50 minute drive away and Chester Zoo is around a 1 hour . Both are a great day out for the whole family.
Blue Planet aquarium can be found nearby in Ellesmere Port.
Europe's highest giant swing, fast paced zip lines, treetop nets, quarry carts, underground trampolines - Spread across 3 sites, they offer something for every level of pulse raising exhilaration.
Llyn Brenig offers great fly fishing from the bank or on the boats which you can hire. You can also hire bikes, walk around the reservoir and enjoy a hot meal, snack or drink in the cafe and visitors centre.
They also have events throughout the year and an adventure playground for the kids.
A local, family run go kart track in Cerrigydrudion. For amateurs to professionals, they have something for everyone and have been voted Redbull's number 1 karting circuit in the UK.
They often have organised track days where you can take you own kit/sports car for a spin.
With a range of walks from easy, family friendly to expert hiking level, everyone can tackle the great mountain.
Failing that, you can take the Snowdon mountain railway up and down from Llanberis and have a cuppa at the summit...no-one need know you didn't walk the whole way!
